Extended Car & Truck Warranty Programs

extended warranty programs” alt=”about car and truck extended warranty programs” align=”right” height=”180″ hspace=”10″ vspace=”10″ width=”200″ />Are you considering an extended warranty plan for your car or truck? If so, you may feel overwhelmed by the number of choices available to you. When you go vehicle shopping, you will almost always be asked to purchase an extended warranty in addition to the one that comes along with your vehicle. There are different types of extended warranties for different preferences and needs. Some are quite basic in nature, while others cover everything under the sun. What you should choose depends on what you want, and what you can afford.

It’s important to understand that an extended warranty isn’t automatically going to cover anything and everything that happens with your vehicle. You must be very clear in understanding what is covered and what is not. If you’re not sure what you need or want, there are a few basics that every extended warranty should have. Roadside Assistance is the first thing to look for. This is an extremely handy feature. With Roadside Assistance, you can call for help anytime night or day. Suppose your car breaks down on the side of the road. You would simply call a toll-free number and assistance would come to you.

Bumper to Bumper Coverage is another feature any policy should have. This means that if any component of your car breaks down or fails to work properly, it is covered for repair or replacement. This of course does not cover damage done during an accident, oil changes, or spare tires. There are policies, however, that do cover preventative procedures like tire rotations and oil changes, so be sure to ask.

The best thing you can do when shopping for an extended car or truck warranty is to research. Learn about several different programs and get quotes from several different providers before making your decision. You will find that programs differ in price and in what is covered. Some people choose to do their own research, others enlist the help of a trusted insurance agent to help them. The vehicle dealership from which you purchased your car or truck can also tell you plenty about the warranty programs that are available to you.

  1. you don’t provide much on warranties for Ford Diesel trucks with high miles.
I looking at a 1999 Ford F-250 Diesel truck with 185000 miles on it to pull my 5th. wheel , and due to high new prices and limited income can’t afford the new junk. But on the other hand I would like to be able to put some type of warranity coverage on major items such as engine, transmissions, ect.
Didnt see any thing on your web site that pointed in this direction,
